Dealing with IPV in five European countries - treatment of cases and victims by the criminal justice system, procedures of protection and support

In all countries interviews with women affected by intimate partner violence with experiences with the criminal justice system were interviewed about their experiences with the criminal justice system. More interviews were carried out with professionals from the police, the justice system, the support system and other relevant experts. Additionally in four countries, files on cases of intimate partner violence against women from the police / public prosecution were analysed, in Ireland cases were reporte by member organisations of SAFE Ireland. The results of these analyses were compiled in each country in a national research report. A cross coutry comparative report highlights differences and commonalities between the countries.
